A little late but Happy New Year to all.

Just updated the recent stuff I was working on with some flat colors. Been working on a few side projects lately so thats why I havent posted in a while.

More to come soon!

Inks and Three Process...movin' on to colors!

The title kind of says it all so without further comment, the inks and all three together!

Sketch 2 - Tighter!

Tightened up the sketch from yesterday and added the effect to the background, the whole thing will be the character emerging from fire so there will be a lot of effects added later once the character is solid!

Sketch 1

Starting from scratch, this one will be updated from sketch to final...no time frames of how long though so you will just have to wait!

Environments - Day One!

So I am playing around with what I can do within a 3D Space and environments, the first is a simple wall and then a wall with some damage, just testing to see how the map works on the wall on each edge and face. Enjoy!

Sketchin it up!

A few poses and sketches, just trying to capture the right feel of the character for this image, not sure yet which one, if any I want to choose from this selection.

Updating the Portfolio

So I think I got the page idea design squared away, now it is just the long process of updating and including all the images I have to add since I havent dont this in a while. Fingers crossed for having this done by Friday....below is a sample of two of the pages. I am also hoping on getting this made up as a sketchbook for purchase as well.

Enjoy!

Charity Toy Drive

Hi, this was done for a friend as he is collecting toys to donate to charities for children in the memory of his uncle, I left all the informaiton on in case anyone felt like helping him out.

Enjoy!

Go Cancuks Go!!

Wanted to do some Canuck skteches for a while so I ended up doing a couple last night when I got home....will probably do some more soon!

Some images work, others not so much!

Commission for Spike from Buffy the vampire TV series...

Surfing via Tablet

A quick Silver surfer and Galactus via the tablet - possibly will end up tightening this image into a hard copy!

And one more...

Or a few since its been so long!

I'm a gonna DUMP all over YA!

Sketch Dump that is!

Kade (image no.2)

I decided to try another shot at the character Kade, this time having a more visible shot of the character in the image!

Obsession...

I have done way too many of these, however I wanted to play around with some different tools and effects. I will probably use this whenever I get around to completing another sketchbook.

I wish it could look like the Brandstudio books, those are amazing....thats a hint you should be getting one yourself!

Balance

A commission I am working on for a meeting coming up: The theme is Balance.

My Creative Space

A little untidy at the moment, thats because there is so much creativity in the room...or something.

Superbaby

This was done for a commission for a friend, I did a different one first however I was not happy with it so I went back and did another. The version he wanted was Superbaby in the ship, however I wasnt happy with how we looked in the ship so I removed the ship altogether.

Enjoy!

Spiderman, Spiderman...plus some creepy guy behind him!

Since the movie was released last week, I thought it be fitting to add a Spiderman & Venom image to the blog, as well since I havent really posted much in a while.

Enjoy!

Get yo' hand on these books!!

If you want some great artist books then head over to http://processjunkie.blogspot.com Alberto Ruiz has done an amazing job at get some great artists books printed in an even more amazing format. I picked up these two and plan to purchase the rest in the near future. Alberto's process book is great if you want to learn some tricks in Illustrator and I highly recommend Sean "Cheeks" Galloway's books (both volumes) as well you can pickup books from other talented artists like Robin Mitchell, Joe Pekar, Matt Stewart, Erwin Haya, Wade Shin and Andrew Wilson. They look great all together on a bookshelf but even better in your hands checking them out! Dont these two look great in my hands?

Tofino, British Columbia

Some pics from our recent visit to the island...highly recommended!

Marh 15th 2007 Photos

Being a little bit of a picture monger today, going around the theatre and taking a few pictures to work with and found some interesting areas to snap up as well...
